Virtual Safety Monitoring Technician

As a Virtual Safety Monitoring Technician, you’ll play an important role in supporting patient safety through continuous remote observation and communication. You’ll monitor patients with identified safety concerns and respond quickly to changes in behaviour or condition. Using telemonitoring technology, you’ll provide reassurance, assistance, and timely communication while helping clinical teams address emerging concerns. The role requires strong observation, critical thinking, and de-escalation skills, particularly when working in high-pressure situations. You’ll collaborate closely with interprofessional healthcare teams to support safe, timely, and patient-centred outcomes. You’ll also contribute to patient assessment, accurate documentation, and continuous improvement of the virtual monitoring program.
