This Privacy Policy describes how xapply ("we", "us") collects, uses, and protects information when you use our website and services at xapply.ai.

Information we collect

• Account data: name, email, password (hashed), and profile details you provide during onboarding.
• Career data: resumes, work history, skills, screening answers, and job preferences.
• Usage data: pages visited, feature usage, device and browser information, and approximate location derived from IP.
• Application activity: jobs you queue, tailored materials, and submission receipts.

How we use your information

• Provide and improve resume tailoring, auto-apply, and tracking features.
• Process applications you approve and maintain application receipts.
• Communicate about your account, product updates, and support requests.
• Detect abuse, secure the service, and comply with legal obligations.

AI processing

We use AI providers to tailor resumes, generate cover letters, and draft screening answers. Content you submit for these features may be processed by third-party AI services under contractual data-protection terms. We do not sell your resume content.

Sharing

We share data with service providers who help us operate the product (hosting, analytics, email, AI inference) and with employers or ATS platforms only when you approve an application. We may disclose information if required by law.

Retention

We retain account and career data while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward for legal, security, and backup purposes. You can permanently delete your account anytime in Settings → Account, or contact hello@xapply.ai.

Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication and preferences, and optional analytics cookies to understand product usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. In the product you can download a JSON export of your data and delete your account under Settings → Account. You can also email hello@xapply.ai.
