Position Summary The Finance Manager oversees the organization's day-to-day financial operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance, and effective financial management in support of All* Above All's mission. This role manages accounting processes, budgeting, financial analysis, and internal controls while partnering with leadership to support strategic decision-making and organizational sustainability. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, collaborative, and committed to maintaining the highest standards of financial stewardship. What you'll do Manage the organization's day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations. Ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end close processes. Prepare financial statements, reports, and supporting documentation for leadership. Maintain the integrity of financial records in accordance with GAAP and organizational policies. Monitor cash flow and assist with cash management activities. Assist in developing and managing organizational budgets and forecasts. Monitor budget performance and prepare variance analyses. Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic planning and decision-making. Prepare and coordinate accurate, timely financial reports, dashboards, and supporting materials for Board and Finance Committee meetings, highlighting financial performance, budget-to-actuals, forecasts, and key financial considerations. Support department leaders with budget development and financial reporting. Ensure compliance with nonprofit accounting standards, grant requirements, and applicable federal and state regulations. Support annual audits and coordinate requests from external auditors. Maintain and strengthen internal controls, financial policies, and procedures. Assist with tax filings and other required financial reporting. Monitor grant expenditures and ensure compliance with funder requirements. Prepare financial reports for grants and contracts. Track restricted and unrestricted funding and ensure proper allocation of expenses. Collaborate with internal departments to support financial processes and organizational priorities. Support organizational compliance by maintaining required documentation, monitoring filing and reporting deadlines, and helping ensure adherence to applicable federal, state, funder, and organizational requirements. Manage the contract administration process, including maintaining contract records, tracking key dates and deliverables, coordinating reviews and approvals, and ensuring agreements are properly executed and documented. Oversee organizational insurance administration, including policy renewals, certificates of insurance, coverage documentation, and coordination with insurance brokers and vendors. Coordinate financial components of grant reporting, ensuring accurate and timely preparation of financial reports, expense documentation, and other funder-required materials. Maintain systems and processes for tracking grant budgets, restricted funds, reporting deadlines, and compliance requirements in collaboration with program and development teams. Support organizational risk management by maintaining accurate records, identifying compliance or operational concerns, and escalating issues as appropriate. Coordinate vendor management activities, including maintaining vendor documentation, supporting contract renewals, and ensuring appropriate financial and compliance records are on file. Develop and maintain organized financial and operational records, policies, procedures, and internal controls to support organizational efficiency, accountability, and audit readiness. Support annual audits, regulatory filings, and other organizational reporting by coordinating documentation and responding to information requests. Identify opportunities to strengthen and streamline finance and operational processes, systems, and controls. Other: The Finance Manager contributes to the organization's long-term financial sustainability by ensuring sound financial stewardship and supporting effective management of organizational resources. This role collaborates with leadership to develop budgets, monitor grant funding, prepare financial reports for funders, and ensure compliance with funding requirements. Through accurate financial planning, reporting, and analysis, the Finance Manager helps strengthen the organization's capacity to advance its mission and strategic priorities. Qualifications 5+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience. Experience managing nonprofit financial operations and fund accounting. Strong knowledge of GAAP and nonprofit accounting principles. Experience with accounting software (QuickBooks Online preferred). Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Workspace. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment. Valued Skills, and Experience Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field CPA or CMA designation or progress toward certification. Experience in a nonprofit, advocacy, or mission-driven organization. Experience managing grants, federal funding, or restricted funds. Experience preparing for and supporting annual financial audits. Familiarity with payroll processing and employee benefits administration. Experience developing financial dashboards and reporting tools. Knowledge of financial forecasting and long-range budgeting. Experience implementing or improving financial systems and internal controls. Ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-finance audiences. The pay range for this role is: 85,000-100,000 USD per year
