We are currently looking for a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to our team in Stockholm, Sweden. Please note that applicants must live in Sweden and hold a valid work permit at the time of application to be considered for this role. Responsibilities: Develop efficient, scalable, and maintainable software to support streaming and recording on UniFi Protect, Ubiquiti's smart video surveillance and security platform Integrate feature designs with larger software systems Co-work with cloud architects, backend developers, frontend developers, designers, and other stakeholders Requirements: B.Sc degree in Computer Science, or related engineering degree 5+ years of embedded firmware development experience with C, C++, Linux and Unix Experience working with H.265 Basic understanding of electronic circuits Experience in embedded Linux systems (ARM processors, cross-build, flash, boot, system initialization, rootfs packaging, fault-tolerance, IPC, work with embedded file systems) and embedded distributions (Yocto, Buildroot, OpenWRT) Experience with Git (merging, rebasing), ANSI C, toolchains, SW/HW debuggers, scripting Highly proficient in English (written and spoken) Nice to have: Knowledge of Linux kernel Experience with any SoC, preferrably multimedia targeted Video processing, streaming, encoding/decoding Experience working with OpenCV Image processing, tuning, enhancement OOP/OOD, strong programming experience with C and C++ Benefits International work environment Competitive compensation package including wellness allowance, occupational pension, medical insurance, private health insurance, life insurance and work-injury insurance Five weeks of holiday per year Flexible work hours and hybrid work model Modern office space located in Epicenter (Hötorget) Access to all the latest Ubiquiti products and prototypes for home use and tests Please note that a background check will be conducted in the final stage of the recruitment process
