Narrative Designer & Writer

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Narrative Designer & Writer (Freelance) based in Canada. This freelance role offers the opportunity to shape the narrative experience of a large-scale video game project.You will own narrative strategy and help translate story concepts into memorable gameplay moments.Working closely with creative and multidisciplinary teams, you will develop story arcs, dialogue, environmental storytelling, and dramatic reveals.You will also integrate and test narrative content directly within game levels using available technical tools.The role combines creative writing, narrative design, collaboration, and hands-on implementation throughout development.You’ll contribute to a passionate gaming environment where feedback, experimentation, and narrative quality are highly valued.The assignment runs through March 2027, with the possibility of extension, and offers remote or hybrid flexibility in Quebec City.
